EGTRRA Restatements
Since the system of cyclical Remedial Amendment Periods (RAPs) was formally implemented for EGTRRA restatements, employers have taken on the great responsibility to restate all of their pre-approved plans using a 5-year or 6-year cycle. However, there are still many questions surrounding these cycles in relation to EIN numbers, the type of plans to restate, adoption of Form 8905, and Power of Attorney among others.
