SunGard's Aligne Front Office (formerly ZaiNet) Certification
New for 2009 is SunGard’s Aligne Front Office (formerly ZaiNet) Certification program. By earning Aligne Front Officecredentials, you gain recognition for your skills and knowledge and your dedication to developing professionally. As the certification focuses on Aligne technology, knowledge and skills learned are transferrable from one company to another. Certification provides organizations the benefits of higher skilled project teams, improved processes and better employee retention. There is no additional charge for the initial certification.
SunGard offers the following certification:
- System Administration v.8.x – Users with this certification demonstrate knowledge in installation, maintenance and support areas of Aligne Front Office.

Consultant and Super User levels are planned for the future.
Additional certification levels for consultants and super users will be offered later in the year.
Certification Components To achieve certification, three components must be satisfied:
- Completed course work and passing score for each course assessment
| >>Core courses required: System Administration, Introduction to Front Office & Reporting |
| >>Electives (2 total): Back Office, Advanced Report Writer, Introduction to Configurable Risk (formerly Analytics), Custom Rules, or other approved courses as available |
- Practical use of Aligne – approved statement that the user has been actively supporting or using Aligne for a minimum of 6 months as part of the user’s normal job duties
- Certification Exam – passing score of 70 or above
Certification Rules
- Applicant must complete the standard course work according to SES’s instructional design and delivery principles. Several formats will be available such as classroom training, WebEx and/or conference settings.
- All course work completed within the past 12 months prior to applying for certification will count toward satisfying Component 1.
- Certification will begin with version 8.x.
- Certification is specific to a version and not transferrable to later versions.
- Certification will expire 24 months after the effective date.
- Certification holders will be required to re-certify after 24 months. Recertification can be achieved by completing additional course work within 24 months or by re-taking a certification exam. The exam must be completed in one of our local offices for a cost of 500 USD, 350 GBP or 400 EUR.
- GRANDFATHER CLAUSE: Those that have worked with any version of ZaiNet for 3 years or more, may obtain certification by attending the core courses only and passing the exam. Documentation of experience will be requested.
- Those certified under ZaiNet will be able to upgrade that certification to an Aligne certification (more details coming soon) by attending the core Aligne courses and passing that exam only. This is strictly an option for customers who want to validate the technical and support competencies of their users.
